A Cat in Paris – Fundraiser Screening at Rio Cinema

We are extremely pleased to announce that Rio Cinema in Dalston is hosting a special fundraiser to support Stokey Cats…and dogs.

We are an independent volunteer rescue trying to help many local stray, abandoned, and unwanted cats. Although the neutering of stray cats is arranged under C4 scheme free of charge, all other veterinary treatments such as blood test, dental, x-ray, microchip, antibiotics, flea, worming treatment etc needs to be paid for.

All proceeds go to the rescue and the film has been given free by the lovely people at Thunderbird Releasing – really big thumbs up! You guys are amazing!

Buy a ticket, come and maybe meet a cat* or two and bring some cat or dog food as there will be a collection point at the cinema. Bring friends and family as the film is kid friendly.

A charming and exciting piece of classic cartoon animation. It’s a mystery that unfurls in the alleys and on the rooftops of Paris over the course of one adventurous evening that ends with a nail-biting and acrobatic finale. Dino is a cat that leads a double life.

By day, he’s young Zoe’s pet. By night, he works with Nico, a burglar with a big heart. One night, Zoe decides to follow Dino…

*One of our rescue cats, Lucy Bobbi the Kitten, will make a special appearance on the day. Lucy has been born with CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia) which means she has trouble walking and at times can’t coordinate her moves and might even lose her balance. She was found hiding under the bushes, most probably abandoned by her mum being the weakest kitten. She got a second chance with us and became a very happy kitty.

Noel McFluffy

Noel McFluffy used to live rough on one of the local estates. Now in our foster care, safe and warm, Noel is waiting for someone to take him home. Noel is a bit hissy and grumpy (who wouldn’t be after forced neutering) but deep inside he’s a lovely boy. Mega whiskers and all this fluff can be all yours so don’t miss a chance and get in touch now

Felix Jr is dreaming of his own home

Super Handsome Felix Junior is looking for a loving home he can call his own. He’s a purring machine and he’s very friendly. His ideal home would be with a secure outdoor access (fenced back garden). He doesn’t really like other cats and not sure about dogs but he definitely loves people and will spend night (and days) on your bed.

Arnold and Frankie are looking for a loving home together

Arnold and Frankie became best friends in their foster home and now they are looking for a loving home together.

Arnold is an older boy, FIV+ and Frankie is about 4 years old. Frankie was extremely shy and it took him ages to come round – he still can hiss now and then, possibly hide for a bit and his confidence still needs boosting but he’s a lovely boy and all he needs is someone patient who will understand that cats are to be served and appreciated and they won’t necessary come when you call them Both boys used to live outdoors but now hey are perfectly happy as indoor cats. Please remember to cat proof your house / flat if you are interested in rehoming these sweet boys as indoor cats.
